Katy says, "The works are paintings and mono-type prints which react upon one another to create a thread of images and spaces forming as opposed to one particular idea or truth. The work simply seeks to create a peace of mind and sense of comfort in the vast, inexplicable momentary existence we all experience.  By creating these images I find a childlike state of discovery in between the evolving states of uncertainty we experience as we grow.  I often think about how the same mysterious universe that we are inside of, is also inside of us."

Betsy uses a technique called Cartonera. It is a kind of paper art that uses dry paper and glue with no water. Betsy says, "Animals  and their body language are so beautiful that it's a pleasure to work with animal images.  The familiar children's stories and their use of animals to teach important lessons worked really well when I was a child and still do."

Kim says... "Focusingon food related imagery for this show, I juxtaposed seemingly disparate images to create whimsical, charming, and humorous compositions. I love mixing collage work with acrylics because it allows me to be continuously inspired (especially vintage print sources), work loosely, yet expressively. My greatest satisfaction is the reaction of a viewer when they relate to my work...."

Kim received her Bachelor's in Studio Art from UC Berkeley and Master's in Art Education from NYU. She is a working artist residing in San Francisco.

ANNA says... "Touch Me is a show consisting of new and existing textile works in the style of freestyle embroidery. The text pieces are culled from old poems, selecting single lines or passages, then written in cursive with the left hand. Writing with the recessive hand produces a script not unlike a child’s, infusing the surface with a sweet, simple focus. Touch Me winks at the past while embracing the present."

Pamela says "My inspiration stems from the things that surround me. What appears to be a haphazard collection of images is actually a breadcrumb trail of my adventures: From the birds of Canada’s Salt Spring Island, to the iconic Victorians of San Francisco’s oldest neighborhoods, and the ships that dot the waterways in-between. Where ever I go, I bring my watercolours with me and a sense of play in my pocket."
