February Art Show: Sacred Wheel Collective with Art by Megan Weirich

Megan's interest in art started at a young age. She decided to pursue her passion, and follow her grandmother’s footsteps and studied at Allan Hancock Community College in Santa Maria, California, then transferred to University of California, Berkeley to finish her B.A. in studio art. While there she discovered a passion for the environment and has since made a conscious decision to investigate pollution, litter, and waste in her artwork. The imagery she creates often addresses the ocean and marine ecosystem at risk with hope to eventually create an interdisciplinary practice that blends art, education, community, compassion, and the environment--whether it is through research, exhibitions, performance, collaboration, group activities, or community service. Come view Megan's work all month at TOIC Temescal. Click here for more about Megan!
